Jay Larson and Lyndon Cabellon's surf podcast

We sit down with surfers and surf shops and talk about the surfing life and what it means to us and our communities!

A Conversation with Aaron “THE LAW” Loyd – Shaper, Artist, Photographer

Our guest this week is a Craftsman and Artist! He began working with foam and fiberglass in the mid-sixties, establishing his own Surfboard label in 1968. He also had a side hustle designing art/logos air-spray apparel in high school, painted high-end motorcycles and even pinstriped new showroom cars for dealerships. He even played music and was in a Blues Band! He later became a Surf photographer for Surfing and Surfer Magazines. In 2001, he stepped out of professional photography taking a job with Al Merrick as a surfboard shaper. During this time, he seriously began pursuing fiberglass sculptures. His first fish was made in 2000 from a broken surfboard found on Banzai Beach in Oahu and now his artwork is in galleries and personal collections all over the world! We welcome to the show the legend Aaron “THE LAW” Loyd!!
